"You don't have the balls," Erestor taunted Glorfindel. "All you will ever do is moon over him because you are afraid of him."

"That is not true," Glorfindel said as he tried to defend himself.

"It is so," Erestor continued to taunt. "It was true in Gondolin and it is true now. You don't have the gall to approach Gil-Galad any more than you had the gall to approach Turgon."

"That has nothing to do with it," he shouted. "He is with Elrond and I will not interfere in their relationship."

"Oh, he is not. He only initiated him, and Elrond prefers elves with lighter colored hair," Erestor retorted wondering if Glorfindel would pick up on the hint he was giving him. "If you are not afraid, then prove it."

"Fine, I will," Glorfindel snapped as he took up the dare.

That night Glorfindel knocked on the door of Gil-Galad's private chambers. When the king opened the door he pressed the bottle of Dwarven whisky into his hands. Then the unexpected happened. Gil-Galad grabbed him by the front of the tunic and pulled him into the room before slamming the door behind him. The king proceeded to drag him into his bedroom as he worked on peeling Glorfindel's clothing off of him.

It was not long before they were both naked and groping each other as they fought for dominance. Gil-Galad had finally decided he had had enough and pulled rank as he flipped Glorfindel under him. Gabbing a bottle of nearby oil, he oiled and stretched the blonde as he sucked him to completion. As Glorfindel lay boneless afterwards, the king oiled himself and placed the warrior's legs on his shoulders. He groaned as he slowly pressed past the guardian ring and buried himself deep. After waiting a few seconds to give Glorfindel time to adjust, he set a slow pace. Soon they were straining against each other and the king began to pound away in earnest. He grabbed Glorfindel's hips and pulled him tight against him as he came with a shout.

As the king collapsed on top of him and tried to catch his breath Glorfidnel squirmed beneath him. Finally pulling out, the king rolled over and promptly fell asleep leaving Glorfindel to stroke himself to completion. Once done, he rose and dressed heading for his rooms. As he bathed, Glorfindel realized what Erestor had really been trying to tell him with his dare. His own subconscious had been telling him that the king did not care who he slept with as long as he gained his relief. He had known it was the same with Turgon. That was why he had never given in to the dares to sleep with the king of Gondolin.

Glorfindel knew himself well enough to know that he was different. He cared greatly who he slept with and would only give his heart in love. He now realized that it should be the same with his body. Erestor's dare had taught him that much about himself at least. And then he remembered the other little thing Erestor had said, that Elrond liked elves with lighter colored hair. Now, if he could only figure out if that hint meant what he thought it did.
