SLEEP, SLEEP, LITTLE ELF
Erestor was dead tired. Drained. Exhausted.
He wanted nothing more than to crawl to his bed and sleep the next
millennia. The only problem was that no matter how hard he tried, he
couldn't sleep. His work followed him into his dreams, constantly haunting
him.
The lack of sleep showed, and everyone avoided him in these days at all
costs. Erestor was stern and strict at his best, but now he was impossible
to socialize with. Only few elves, his best friends, had dared to advise him
to get some sleep. Thus far he had not listened.

Erestor was lying on his bed, when he heard a knock from the door. Erestor
called that the door was open, and his eyes widened when he saw who came in.
"Oh no! Not him! Not now!" He silently groaned. Glorfindel was annoying and
when he was this exhausted, the elda's presence was just too much. In truth,
Erestor didn't hate Glorfindel. It was just that the he was far too cheerful
when Erestor himself felt so drained. How in Arda he would get rid of him
politely?
"What do you want?" Erestor asked, burying his face in the pillow. Maybe
Glorfindel would just disappear, if he wished very much.
"I heard that you don't feel well. I came to check if I could help,"
Glorfindel said.
"You cannot help. Or actually, you can. Go away and leave me alone," Erestor
hissed.
"But Erestor dear. That wasn't nice thing at all to say. I only want what is
best for you."
"I am not your dear, and I would be very grateful if you stopped addressing
me as such. Go now, I beg of you."
"But you haven't heard what I have to say. I know several good ways to get
sleep," Glorfindel said hopefully.
Erestor counted to ten very slowly, silently praying patience for himself,
and then turned to face the annoying, golden-haired elf.
"Believe me, when I say that I have tried every possible and impossible way
to get sleep, and nothing has helped. I have tried a horseback- riding, and
a hot bath. Lindir told me to take couple of glasses of wine, and Mel
suggested that I should go to the healers for a massage. Not to mention all
the stupid advice Elrond offered to me along with the sleeping potion. All
for nothing."
"What advice Elrond offered then? I would like to think that the healer
would understand something about these problems?" Glorfindel asked,
frowning. His curiosity only grew, when Erestor blushed and turned his gaze
away.
"Erestor?"
Erestor hesitated for a moment, but then realized that this was a perfect
way to get rid of Glorfindel. The councillor was sure that the elda would be
shocked after hearing Elrond's scandalous suggestion.
"Elrond… he said that I should seek someone willing elf to my bed and have
sex, until I was so exhausted that I fell asleep for sure."
Erestor was shocked after seeing the dazzling smile that split on
Glorfindel's face. At the very next moment, Elda was pinned him against the
bed.
"I see… If you want to try and follow Elrond's advice, I would be a willing
elf. I promise I won't rest until you get sleep, my dear," Glorfindel
whispered in Erestor ear, making him to moan.

The next morning, the whole Imladris sighed with relief as the certain
councillor didn't appear for the breakfast. It seemed that Erestor had
finally found the solution for his sleeping problem.
And when Erestor finally, after three days absence, arrived for the evening
meal everyone was curious how he had finally managed to sleep.
"Erestor seems well rested, but I think he didn't follow my advice. He is
walking a little bit stiffly," Melpomaen remarked with a quiet voice, so
that Erestor wouldn't hear.
"But I think he followed my advice. And look at him; he is taking a glass of
wine. Surely he must have found it relaxed him,” Lindir murmured, smiling.
"I don't know about that. But I am positive that he followed my advice,"
Elrond chuckled enigmatically. His sharp eyes had noticed the undershirt
that Erestor wore. At the very next moment the half-elf leaned towards his
councillor and whispered:
"I must say that you look stunning, meldir (my friend). And that green tunic
of Glorfindel's looks fabulous on you."
