“I am not you! I will never be you!” Erestor gripped the doorway, then changed tactics and spread out his limbs to make it harder for Glorfindel to extract him. “Why do I need to tell my parents anyhow? I never liked them, and they never liked me!” He whimpered as Glorfindel pried one hand away and held it while working on the other.
“Because you need to,” Glorfindel demanded gently. “You are not the same as you once were.”
“What if I am still ashamed?”
“That is not you talking; that is them, and why you must tell them.”
